I have been taking pictures since I was at least 13 years old, when my mom gave me my first film SLR Pentax camera. I took some classes in college, but never really took anything on as a career, as I was following my path to becoming a professional graphic artist. Then, a few years ago, I added professional certifications in makeup artistry, including photo/runway/bridal makeup, as well as makeup for basic sp/fx for TV/Film (including HD).

Then, as friends started getting married and having babies, I started taking candid shots of all of them and the milestone events in their lives, which brought me joy in just being there to capture these momentous events. The compliments turned into referrals, and I started to expand seriously into paid/professional work. I have been expanding my knowledge continuously since then, but I love to be the "fly on the wall" who sneaks around and captures the moments that really speak volumes, as opposed to the posed shots.

All of my training in these various areas led me to form my company, Pixels and Palettes (pixelsandpalettes.com). My expertise in each area compliments and enhances the other areas of my professions. I also am able to do extensive retouching to make a great photo, stunning; my artistic and trained eye will turn an intriguing image, into art.

I hope in looking at my work, you see the special moments I love to capture and you feel what I felt that made me want to capture the moment in the first place. I'd like to think my work speaks for itself, but I'll let you be the final judge... after all, if you're my client, that's the most important judge of all.
