Experience has shown that the holidays are the best time of year for wedding and portrait sales even if the event is months old. The wedding may have been in June but many brides and grooms don't think of gifting pictures to the family until Christmas roles around. Same with Senior school portraits, engagement pictures, etc.

First, you can create Dollars Off - coupons that clients use one time to take dollars off their print orders. The coupons are email to you and then you forward the coupon via email to the client along with your holiday greeting or marketing message. The second way to entice clients to log on and walk down memory lane, hopefully buying a few memories as they wander, is to use the following multiple use discount code:

Using the marketing function in you admin area to send out a reminder eCard. Just copy and paste the above code into the message area, add you holiday greeting, and you can instantly contact everyone that has purchased or shared the event via the share event function.
The average order has been running over $70. When people buy, they tend to buy over $70 worth of pictures. Whether you supply a Dollars Off coupon or a straight discount the chances are, if your client buys, it's going to put around $50 in your pocket. Not bad for the few minutes it takes to send out an email. (Note: orders have been averaging over $70, BUT orders placed during the holidays tend to be even higher.)
